This painting is part of my February challenge where I challenged myself to create 28 original 8"x10" paintings. There are no duplicates, this is an original work of art. The challenge forced me to create without overthinking. A tendency I'm desperately trying to get rid of as I want to create with more curiosity and intuition. 

The lawn chair for me represents presence and acts a reminder to lift my head up from the daily grind and just sit in gratitude and observe the world as it plays out in front of me. Lately it feels like time is in overdrive. Months and years continue to fly by as every week it seems like it's another one of children's birthdays. It's a bit alarming tbh and has me questioning my ambitious goals and dreams. It's one thing to challenge yourself, it's another to do it at the expense of missing the world go by. It's a daily struggle and an internal conversation I'm portraying in the form of art in real time.
